Henry Ford Museum

Last Saturday, we took a day trip down to Dearborn to visit the Henry Ford Museum with our friends, Ben, Kati, and Tony. It had been many, many years since Sara had been there, and surprisingly, Kevin has never actually been to the Henry Ford Museum. He'd been to the Imax theater and to Greenfield Village, but never the museum. So we were excited to go check it out. Unfortunately, the big car exhibit was under construction, so we really didn't get to see the main attraction, but we still saw a lot of cool stuff and had a great time!

Carson loved the Weiner-Mobile.  He thought it was HILARIOUS!  He also enjoyed making a hot dog out of Daddy.  :)

They have lots of interactive exhibits... of course, those are a favorite for any 3-year old... or any 34-year old alike.  :)

Even baby Tony had a great time!  He loved seeing all the lights and big vehicles.  He is also fascinated with Carson and watches him quite a lot.  Carson loves him.  He's always giving him kisses or saying how cute he is.  :)  They are going to be such good buddies!

We all had a lot of fun with the airplane exhibit, especially.  We got to make paper airplanes and fly them to measure whose could fly the furthest.  Then we went to watch an old-school air show (via video) and had fun with the manequins.

Looks like fun! Is Kevin sure he's never been to the museum?? We went there on field trips when I was in elementary. And I've been to the museum with my parents. Seems like we went at least once when we were younger.

Glad you had a good time. They do have a lot of fun stuff.

He doesn't remember ever going there. I couldn't believe he'd never done a field trip there. But he says he's only ever been to the Village for field trips and with your parents.
